We do run day courses in 'Forensics for the Dental Team' with Dr Freddie Martin.

These day courses are held in Central London near Euston station. The day's contents:
We offer a jam packed exciting day full of interesting 'stuff' about Forensics. The course will not only enable you to receive 5.5 hours verifiable CPD, but we guarantee you will be learning something new and exciting in Dentistry.

Here is a brief outline of the days events:

Registration 9.00 am.

Free refreshments provided on your break for coffee.

A talk on Forensics given by Dr Freddie Martin

- Its functions, developing into identification & bite marks, covering ageing, sexing, charting problems for the dental team illustrated with a few case studies

- Bite marks in general illustrated with cases with a talk about court presentation & the problems associated..

Lunch

- Child abuse & the dental team. Maybe a couple of cases. How to manage a patient if you spot abuse of any kind.

- mortuary experiences (no visit to an actual mortuary)

A little something about our wonderful speaker!

Freddie was born during world war two. In fact he was born the same day the mighty German Battleship , the Bismark , was sunk .

To mark the occasion his father wanted to call him Bismark on the grounds that when he was grown up and in business , people could greet him by asking: " How’s Bis" ?

His interest in forensics started early , and his first case was in 1964.

Freddie is a past president of the British Association For Forensic Odontology, a member of numerous forensic associations , and lectures on forensic odontology to several academic institutions.

He has been involved in much case work over the years, and mass disasters - a year or two back the Tsunami & the London Bombs , the Malawi Air Crash, & more recently, the Farnborough Air Crash & The Ecuador Bus Crash among others.

He has appeared in Coroner’s Courts , Magistrates Courts , County Courts and most of the Crown Courts in the South East over the years, ( and from time to time further afield ), including frequently at ‘The Bailey’.

The cost for the day is £95 per person, this includes full day lecture which is on a very exciting subject, Refreshments, 6 hours of verifiable CPD, and last but not least a great day of team building.
